| Status regarding preparation of manual as per
provisions of the Act
The Right To Information
Act 2005 has been made applicable throughout the country (except Jammu & Kashmir
State) from 15th June, 2005.
The objective is to
provide a practical regime of right to information for citizens to secure access to
information under control of public authorities, in order to promote transparency and
accountability in the working of every public authority.
Section 4 (1) of the act
lays down the obligations of public authorities to provide information within a specified
time frame.
The obligations of MPSCSC
(Public authority as per Sec. 2 (h) of the Right To Information Act 2005) to provide
information in respect of various areas along with the current status of preparation of
manual as per provisions of the Act as follows :
